Welcome to the Capital Area Football Officials website. This website is dedicated to providing the best possible officiating for high school football in the Mid Penn Conference.  

 

Our mission is to provide the best possible high school football officials in the state of Pennsylvania.  We promote sportsmanship and professionalism at all times. It is our goal to promote officiating, recruiting new members interested in officiating, educate these officials, and train them to officiate at the highest possible level.

2024 CAFOA Meeting Calendar Dates Set

The 2024 CAFOA Calendar has been finalized. Please CLICK HERE to be forwarded to the calendar. Please see the locations for each meeting. We will be using Cumberland Valley High School and the Linglestown Legion to host our meetings this year. 

2024 Golf Outing Date Announced

The 2024 Pre-Season golf outing will be held on July 26, 2024.  Details will be announced once finalized.

CAFOA members got a chance to enjoy one more round of golf prior to the start of a busy football season.

On the Recruiting trail

CAFOA member, Charlie Johnson, was given an opportunity to talk with the players at the Susquehanna Township Spring Fling about opportunities to become a football official.

CAFOA wins PIAA Convention's Chapter Recognition Award , AGAIN!!

Aaron Jayman, CAFOA Chapter President, proudly accepts the PIAA Convention's Chapter Award for the second year in a row at the PIAA Annual Convention in 2023. This award is presented each year to the chapter with the most amount of chapter members at the convention. The CAFOA had 31 members or 1/4 of its total membership in attendance. The CAFOA has made an effort to improve officiating in its chapter by attending and improving educational opportunities.

Zoom Meeting Brings 5 NCAA D1 Refs to the Capitol Area Chapter  of PIAA Football Officials

The CACPFO was fortunate to have 5 seasoned NCAA Division One Officials participate in a Zoom meeting with our chapter on 5/6.  Jerry Hocker, our current District 3 Assignor and NCAA Division One ACC Side Judge, reached out to several of his colleagues to discuss a variety of topics. All 5 officials shared tips, experiences and advice that will help each individual and our chapter as a whole.
